Ocean-Side Electric began with a simple mission: to provide the highest level of electrical expertise to the coastal communities of Delaware. Our founder recognized that homeowners in areas like Rehoboth Beach and Lewes needed more than just a repairman; they needed a partner who understood the unique challenges of coastal living, such as salt-air corrosion and high-demand seasonal power needs. Over the years, we have built a reputation for being the team that shows up on time, explains the process clearly, and leaves every job site cleaner than we found it. We have intentionally kept our team focused on local service, allowing us to build lasting relationships with families and business owners across the county. Our growth has been fueled by word-of-mouth recommendations, a testament to our "customer-first" philosophy. Today, we continue to lead the way in integrating new technologies like EV charging and smart home automation while never losing sight of the core safety values that define a master electrician.

When asked why he chose the electrical trade, Shilore Figueroa doesn’t talk about money or business growth. Instead, he talks about challenge — and service.

“I wanted something that would push me,” he says. “But I also wanted to help people.”

Shilore began his career in 2017 and quickly developed a passion for troubleshooting — solving problems that leave homeowners frustrated — and designing lighting that makes a house feel more

like home. From under-cabinet and recessed lighting to full landscape lighting, he enjoys bringing both function and comfort to a space.

At Oceanside Electric, what stands out most to him isn’t just the work — it’s the heart behind it.

“It’s homegrown. It feels like family,” he explains. “We all get along, we support each other, and that energy carries into how we treat our customers.”

Outside of work, Shilore is a proud dog dad to five dogs and a lifelong basketball junkie who loves both playing and watching the game. He’s also preparing for his newest role — fatherhood —

something he says has given him an even deeper sense of purpose.

Family and friends inspire him daily. They push him to grow, improve, and show up better.

A proud veteran who served our country, Rob carries the values of integrity, responsibility, and commitment into his everyday work. His background in service shaped the way he approaches both his craft and the people he serves.

For Rob, electrical work has never just been a job — it’s a craft. He’s especially known for his troubleshooting ability, often finding solutions quickly and efficiently when others can’t. Helping customers solve problems isn’t just part of the work for him — it’s the part he enjoys most.

“Helping people is why I do this,” he says. “If someone needs help, I’m going to do whatever I can.”

Outside of work, Rob is first and foremost a family man. His family is his world. When he’s not on a job site, you’ll likely find him spending time with them or out on his boat — where, if you ask him, he’d probably live full-time if he could.

Coming up on two years in the trade and with the company, Shayne has already made a strong impression. His ability to learn quickly has stood out — something many attribute to the fact that he’s an exceptional listener who absorbs knowledge and applies it with focus and care.
